Ingredients

  • 1 (5 count) can Jumbo or Grands! store-bought cinnamon rolls with icing Ensure the can includes the icing for easy drizzling.
  • Easter colored sprinkles Choose a mix of pastel hues to enhance the festive look.
  • Easter colored M&M's or other small, round candies These will form the adorable bunny eyes and nose.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spoon

Method

  1. Preheat your oven according to the package directions on your canned cinnamon rolls. Carefully open the can and separate the cinnamon rolls, laying each one flat on a clean surface.
  2. Gently unroll one end of each cinnamon roll, extending it outwards. Pull the outer end up and curve it into one distinct bunny ear. Repeat for the other side, forming a second ear.
  3. Carefully pinch the dough between the two bunny ears and lightly press on the outsides of the ears to secure them to the main round part of the cinnamon roll, creating clear head and ear definition.
  4. Transfer each shaped bunny to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently reinforce the ear shapes with your fingers if needed to ensure they look like charming bunnies.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake according to the cinnamon roll can directions, usually 12-15 minutes. Halfway through, carefully remove the rolls.
  6. Use the handle of a spoon or your hands to reinforce the ear shapes, pushing them back into position as needed to maintain the cute bunny silhouette.
  7. Return the cinnamon rolls to the oven and continue baking until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oven once done.
  8. While the rolls are still warm, drizzle generously with the enclosed icing. The warmth helps the icing melt slightly and adhere beautifully.
  9. Immediately after icing, sprinkle the tops with festive Easter colored sprinkles. Add two round candies (like M&M's) for the eyes and one for the nose on each bunny. Serve warm!

Notes

For best results, choose thicker canned cinnamon rolls like Jumbo or Grands! varieties. Gently unroll to avoid tearing, and importantly, reinforce the ear shapes halfway through baking to prevent shrinking. Decorate immediately after icing while warm for better adherence of sprinkles and candies. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerated for up to 4 days. Reheat briefly in the microwave.
