Ingredients

  • 40 mini pretzel twists (divided)
  • 20 Rolo candies, unwrapped
  • 40 miniature candy eyes
  • 20 small round red candies (M&M's or Sixlets)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • small sharp knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Place 20 mini pretzel twists on the prepared baking sheet. These form the reindeer bodies.
  3. Place one unwrapped Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.
  4. Carefully cut the remaining 20 pretzels in half to create antlers. Use a sharp knife and gentle sawing motion.
  5. Bake for about 3 minutes, until Rolos are just softened but not melted.
  6. Remove from oven and quickly press in pretzel halves as antlers, then add candy eyes and a red candy nose.
  7. Let the reindeer cool completely on the baking sheet or chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to set.

Notes

Use mini pretzel twists for the ideal reindeer shape. Unwrap Rolos ahead of time for a smoother process. For dairy-free, choose substitutes for Rolos and decorations. Chill to set quickly, and involve kids in decorating for a fun holiday activity.
