Method
- Allow both the cream cheese and shredded cheddar to come to room temperature for smooth blending.
- In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, combine cream cheese, cheddar, and ranch seasoning. Mix until smooth, scraping sides as needed.
- Divide mixture: shape ⅔ into a large ball (body) and ⅓ into a smaller ball (head).
- Wrap each cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap to shape and chill.
- Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight to firm up.
- Unwrap chilled balls. Coat both with finely shredded jack cheese for a snowy appearance.
- Place large cheese ball on platter, stack smaller one on top to form the snowman.
- Slice the tip of a baby carrot and press into head for the nose.
- Use peppercorns to form eyes, smile, and buttons. Press firmly to secure.
- Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggies immediately after decorating.

Notes
Ensure cream cheese and cheddar are fully softened for the smoothest mix. You can make it up to 3 days ahead just decorate before serving. Try other cheeses like mozzarella or Colby, and swap the carrot nose with pimento for variety.
